The
mission of the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame is to
honor those men and women who have made lasting
contributions to agriculture in this state, as well as
provide mentoring to our youth, who represent the future of
agriculture in Florida.
NEW: Florida Agricultural Hall Of
Fame To Induct Four In 2008
The Florida Ag Hall of Fame proudly presents its
prestigious awards at an annual banguet. This event honors
leaders in the state's agricultural industry by inducting
them into Florida's Agricultural Hall of Fame. It's a time
to recognize their accomplishments and to enjoy great
fellowship. More than 700 of Florida's agriculturalists
attend. The banquet is held during the Florida State Fair
in the Special Events Building every February. Tickets can
be purchased by calling (813) 628-4551.
The Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame also sponsors the
Youth Mentor Program. Every year, more than 75 students
from across the state are sponsored by generous individuals
to attend the Agricultural Hall of Fame Banquet. These
students learn and interact with the industry's top
leaders. To encourage students to attend, organizations and
indivduals may sponsor the cost of the student's ticket. In
addition, at least five students who are part of the youth
mentor program receive a $500 scholarship. Tickets to
sponsor students can be purchased by calling (813)
628-4551.
